Hill, North Carolina. She has lived in the Middle
East, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe
and the African continent to evaluate architectural
themes and design trends. She is currently President
of M.L. Designs, Inc., an interior design firm

office interiors since 1984. Her work strives to
reflect her clients’ personalities and lifestyles.
Both function and beauty play important roles in her
work. In Mary Lynn’s words, “I always listen to my
client’s wishes. I then let quality and
appropriateness to location, lifestyle, budget and
architecture determine our goal for the individual
project.”
Mary Lynn is
committed to increasing both her knowledge and that
of those around her. She is currently an active
professional member of IIDA (The International
Interior Design Association), is an allied member of
ASID (The American Society of Interior Design) and
has served on several interior design boards. She
has also taught an Interior Design Class annually
since 1987 to the general public to broaden their
personal knowledge and appreciation of Interior
Design.
In addition to a
degree from Mitchell College, where she majored in
Art, Mary Lynn has taken many design courses
throughout both the United States and Great Britain,
including classes at the Inchbald School of Design
in London.
Mary Lynn has
been the recipient of numerous awards and
recognitions. She has won the Governors Club Custom
Home annual award for the best interior design
several times in the past ten years, as well as
being recognized as a member of the Best Team
Project in Governors Club on three occasions. Mary
Lynn’s designs have also been selected as prize
